HomeVetBondi & COVID-19

During Covid, we focus a lot on our own health but it's equally important to know your pet’s health is looked after. Vets have rightly been classified by the government as essential service providers so rest assured that HomeVetBondi will always be available to provide medical care for your pets, even during lockdown periods.

For those pet owners who are being extra cautious these days and trying to avoid high-risk places, a home vet service could be a better choice for you vs. going into a clinic as it eliminates the need to sit in a crowded waiting room. With only you and the vet present during the home visit, social distancing becomes a whole lot easier. Dr Channette has access to full PPE (personal protective equipment - i.e. mask, gloves, gown) which can be worn during the visit if you are at high risk of contracting Covid. Please let us know beforehand if this is the case for you and we can accommodate accordingly.

Even if you are unwell yourself or in a high-risk demographic, give us a call and we can find a way to make sure your pet gets the care they need without putting you or us at risk. You may wish to consider a telehealth consultation, either over the phone or via video chat. If your pet needs urgent care and requires transfer to a vet clinic, Dr Channette offers a pet transport service and can arrange a non-contact pick-up and drop-off to any clinic within the local area.
